- OS: Windows 11, 64-bit.
- CPU: Intel 6th Gen or AMD Ryzen 1000 minimum; Intel 11th Gen with Quick Sync or AMD Ryzen 3000 / Threadripper 3000 and newer recommended.
- RAM: 8 GB minimum; 16 GB for HD and 32 GB or more for 4K recommended.
- GPU: 4 GB VRAM minimum, 8 GB recommended.
- Storage: fast SSD for app, media and cache.
macOS
- OS: macOS 14 or later.
- CPU: Intel 8th Gen with AVX2 or Apple silicon minimum; Apple silicon M1 Pro, M1 Max, M1 Ultra or newer recommended.

Official system requirements for older Premiere Pro releases are no longer easy to find. Based on the author's practical impression, this version should work on computers built roughly between 2015 and 2020. For a more accurate estimate, use the checker on the home page.
Premiere Pro 2017archival branch for older Windows
The 2017 version is mainly for people who only have an old computer running Windows 8/8.1 or even Windows 7. Newer versions may install in some cases, but they are still likely to run poorly. At that point the choice is fairly simple: buy a newer computer, or work with a very old version of the program.
